Does the lid come off for filling and washing? I’m having a hard time opening it and I don’t want to force it open and break it.

How do you put the lid back on so that the handle lines up with the tallest part of the snack cup?

What is the trick so that the handle isn't on the short side of the cup and therefore the cup doesn't sit flat? I've tried threading the rim many times, but every time the handle extends down past the base of the snack cup.
