I bought the green which is perhaps a little lighter than it appears online. Seems true to size, but none too long. I'm a bit concerned, given there's no drawstring, that the waist is larger than the otherwise pretty slim fit.

These pants have been perfect for grandsons as little boys, but as they've grown - now in 3rd & 4th grades - they are filling out and need more room in the seat and thighs. Just an inch or two keeping the waist and length the same would be wonderful, and I'm sure that many other people would appreciate also. We've tried 24 pairs of pants from 6 different companies! I've been buying Carter's clothes for kids & grands for 40+ years. I know what I'm talking about, y'all!

However, for those who are worried about materials, note that these are not 100% cotton as indicated in the listing. The actual tag on the pants indicates that the inner facing is 65% polyester. So if you have a kiddo who is sensitive or you are trying to avoid polyester, buyer beware.
